Annual Adoption Program

Preserving the past so it can be shared tomorrow

You can now help preserve the past with an annual symbolic adoption of a favorite exhibit, building or vintage vehicle in Fort Edmonton Park.

How do I adopt a piece of Edmonton’s History?

  • Make an annual charitable gift and identify your choice of building or vehicle you would like to “Adopt”.

  • Fort Edmonton Foundation will contact you to confirm the gift and confirm the desired recognition name for your family, company name or loved one.

  • A bronze plaque (or other suitable material) will be installed on the building with the recognition name you choose. Vehicles will be identified with other suitable signage.

  • You will be given an annual renewal letter in order to continue to donate and be recognized for this gift.

In addition to contributing to the protection and maintenance of the Park’s priceless artifacts, as a symbolic adoptee, donors will also receive the following benefits:

  • Tax receipt

  • Recognition in the Fort Edmonton Foundation Annual Report, Newsletters & Website

  • A mailed newsletter and/or e-newsletter.

  • An invitation to the Annual Appreciation Event for Donors & Volunteers

  • A mailed Certificate of Appreciation acknowledging the annual gift/adoption.
