Donor Opportunities
Currently, the Foundation has four exciting donor opportunities:
- Preserve your family's name and history in the Hotel Selkirk
- Adopt a Painted Pony on the 1920s Carousel
- Back a Bug on the Chair-O-Plane Ride
- Donor Bench Program in Fort Edmonton Park

Your Family's Name & History in the Hotel Selkirk
Preserve
your family's name and history in the Hotel
Selkirk. The Foundation is producing a book on Edmonton Families in conjunction
with the Hotel Selkirk room sponsorship program. Each Hotel room sponsor will
have their family history in the room that they sponsor and be included in
a commemorative book. A copy will be given to each family and will also be
available for leisure reading in the Hotel and for sale.
Each room in the Hotel combines 1920s style and sophistication with a limited number of modern amenities - such as private baths and telephone access.
Donations support future Fort Edmonton Park projects.
As a participant in the Edmonton Families history book and Hotel Selkirk room donor program, you will receive the following benefits:
- Recognition of Family's Role in Edmonton's History: a short history telling your family story will appear in your room as well as in "Arisen from the Ashes: Selected Edmonton Histories and the Hotel Selkirk" that will be available for purchase by the general public;
- Naming Rights to one of the Rooms: a plaque with wording of your choice (26 characters max.-subject to the approval of the Foundation) will be placed on the room door;
- Recognition on the Donor Wall: a plaque bearing your name will go up on the donor wall on the Partner's Gate at the entrance to Fort Edmonton Park;
- Recognition in Foundation Media: you will receive recognition in all Foundation media connected to the Hotel Selkirk project - e.g. this web site; and
- a charitable receipt for the full amount of your contribution.

Selkirk Suite (2 total, 0 available): $35,000

Adopt
a Painted Pony on the 1920s Carousel
There are 8 different donor
opportunties within the Carousel
component of the 1920s Midway. Donations support future
Fort Edmonton Park projects.
- Outer-row Horse (10 total): $15,000
- Middle-row Horse (10 total): $12,500
- Inner-row Horse (12 total): $10,000
- Chariot (2 total): $15,000
- Rounding Board (12 total): $3,000
- Shield (12 total): $1,000
- Upper Panel(12 total): $800
- Lower Panel(12 total): $800
As a carousel component supporter, you will receive the following benefits:
- if you have adopted a carousel horse: you will have the opportunity to name your horse;
- recognition on the donor wall: if you have contributed over $5,000 total to the Foundation, a plaque bearing your name will go up on the donor wall on the Partner's Gate at the entrance to Fort Edmonton Park;
- recognition in Foundation media: you will receive recognition in all Foundation media connected to both the Carousel and the 1920s Midway project;
- a charitable receipt for the full amount of your contribution.

The Fort
Edmonton Donor Bench Program has been established to offer individual donors,
groups, or companies the opportunity to recognize special events and honour
friends or loved ones through the a park bench. Proceeds from this program
go toward capital projects within Fort Edmonton Park.
As a bench donor, you will receive the following benefits:
- a 1.5" x 9" cast plaque bearing wording of your choice (up to 101 characters) will be placed on the bench;
- you can select from a number of predetermined locations based on the Master Plan;
- you will receive a family guest pass to Fort Edmonton Park to view your bench;
- recognition on the donor wall: if you have contributed over $5,000 total to the Foundation, a plaque bearing your name will go up on the donor wall on the Partner's Gate at the entrance to Fort Edmonton Park; and
- a charitable receipt
