Our Commitment to Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.

This notice applies to all information collected through the Fort Edmonton Foundation website. On some pages, you can download printable donation forms. The types of personal information collected on these forms are:

How We Use Information

We use the information you provide about yourself when making a donation to process that donation. You are then added to our mailing list for two issues of "The Foundation" magazine as well as two update letters per year. If you do not want to be added to our mailing list, please indicate this on the form. We do not share any of your information with outside parties.

If you subscribed to the on-line newsletter, we will use your e-mail address to send you the newsletter. We do not share any of our e-mail addresses with outside parties.

We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

"Donate Now" Feature & Links

The Fort Edmonton Foundation has contracted the services of CanadaHelps.org for the "Donate Now" feature on this web site. Should you choose to make a donation on-line, CanadaHelps.org will collect personal information to process your donation. Please view their privacy policy if you have any questions or concerns.

This web site contains links to other sites. Please be aware that The Fort Edmonton Foundation is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. How to Access or Correct Information

You can access all your personally identifiable information that we collect and maintain by contacting the Foundation via the methods listed below. We use this procedure to better safeguard your information.

You can unsubscribe yourself from the on-line newsletter by following the directions in your confirmation e-mail, listed at the bottom of the newsletter, or by contacting the Foundation via the methods listed below.

To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.

Notification of Changes

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on the website so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify you. You will have a choice as to whether or not we use your information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.
