Donor Wall
The Fort Edmonton Foundation's Donor Wall is located on the Partner's Gate at the entrance to Fort Edmonton Park. As historic integrity is the most important element of Fort Edmonton Park, the Foundation cannot undertake conventional donor recognition. When we built the Partner's Gate in 1999, it was with the intention of finally having a place to give our donors the recognition they deserve. On a cold May 5, 2002, approximately 200 individuals came to celebrate the living legacy that they are helping to leave. Due to the sheer magnitude of the Foundation's donor base - all of whom we truly appreciate - we were only able to put plaques on the wall for those donors who had given in excess of $5,000 total.
The plaques are placed on the wall top to bottom (largest to smallest category), and read left to right - in other words, the $5,000 to $24,999 category starts at the bottom left board and goes across the structure to the bottom middle board etc..
